Frequently Asked Questions
How are courses structured?
Each course is broken into short lessons with a single objective. Assignments apply the concept in isolation, then in combination. Critique uses clear rubrics so you always know what to improve next.
Do I need prior experience?
No. Start with Foundations of Drawing if you’re new. Intermediates and advanced learners can filter the catalog by level.
What feedback will I receive?
You’ll get rubric-based notes on clarity of gesture, proportion accuracy, value grouping, and edge control. When we suggest changes, we explain the reason and demonstrate a minimal edit.
How long do I keep access?
You keep personal access to purchased courses for at least 24 months after purchase. If we need to retire a course, we provide equivalent alternatives where possible.
Do you offer refunds?
If a course is not a fit, contact us within 14 days of purchase. We’ll review assignment attempts and provide either targeted help or a refund according to the course page policy.
What materials do I need?
A simple kit: HB and 2B pencils, a kneaded eraser, and smooth paper. For digital courses, any pressure-sensitive tablet works. We keep materials minimal by design.
How is Honest Begin Atelier different?
We prioritize calm. Our interfaces use thin borders, muted blue-grays, and whitespace to direct attention. Instruction avoids hacks and respects your pace.
Can I learn while working full-time?
Yes. Most lessons are 8–15 minutes, with assignments scoped to 45–90 minutes. We include a weekly plan template to help you sustain progress.
Is there community support?
We host small critique circles. No feeds or vanity metrics—just focused, respectful feedback that supports your goals.
